About the event

What does it mean to be heard — centuries later? This program brings to light music written by women across four centuries: works once confined to manuscripts, private salons, and shadowed footnotes in history. The musicians of the Mystic Chamber Music Series take the stage to perform these long-overlooked works - from the soaring baroque lines of Isabella Leonarda to bold, modern expressions of today’s living composers. Experience a program of "Unsung Songs" and rediscovered gems, as we honor the creative voices that shaped - and continue to shape - music history.

Works By Beach, Florence Price, Leonarda

Program:

Sonata Duodecima - Isabela Leonarda

String Quartet in G major - Florence Price
